VALEN'S AETHER :

If you have the ability to sense aether on a person... Valen's has an odd blend:> We'll say if you sense aether in some way other than sight... that will be up to you.
For the most part, everything else here is described as how it would look like.

>The strongest aetheric pull on valen is 'light'... though the ties to that seems to shrink ever-so-little every day.> The next pull from them would be any blend of aether that would result in more common ties to 'gravity magic' as a whole. It's their main go-to in a fight, so yes... it's a thing.> Finally, any blend of aether that would result in a less common tie to 'time magic' as a whole. In short, aether-wise alone you wouldn't know the /why/ per-say , but valen HAS 'time magic' about them... so yes, it's a thing.

VALEN'S VIBE :.
The /way/ Valen acts is odd. Perhaps you pick up on these traits as you talk, or from a short distance away. Regardless, it's a good method to tell who this shapeshifter /is/.

It's clearly not for being rude, but rather a /think/ before /speak/ type of situation.> Shyness. Never much to talk first, and never really noticeable once they are talking... Valen suffers from a deeply rooted shyness. It comes up often in how they've deeply struggle with /starting/ a conversation, which only melts away once they're /IN/ it. Oddly, the only time this seems to not be the case, is when Valen's at-work.> Lonely. Valen's somewhat a bit /too/ ok with chatting-with or helping-out folks that are even the smallest bit kind to them. Those with keen eyes and half a brain will be able to determine then... that Valen suffers from a wide lonesomeness, eager to just-be-involved. On the downside, it makes them a bit dense. On the positive, it makes them VERY loyal.

VALEN'S TRAITS :

They've lived for 200 years... they're likely to know things. Or people. ...or worse...

From training to fight, cook, or create... friends and foes alike are bound to know /some/ form of 'Valen' as a person... or the shapeshifting monster they truly are. ....Beware outright attacking Valen, however....> Loveless. Valen is a dense love-idiot, who's never /been/ in love, or has ever been-loved. You'd think several years could fix this, but no. Woe to anyone that tries to woo Valen... it's an uphill battle. Of course though, they do have a preference. ...But why would they openly tell ....anyone?> STRONG. A long life requires a method to defend one's self... and so over the years Valen's crafted a method of fighting that,to an untrained eye seems... wild. Often they spar just outside of the city of Ul'Dah with randoms to keep themself from getting rusty. ...Between their general strength and personal skill set, they've adopted a odd form of using 'Gravity Magic' in their fights... from quick movement, to overwhelming HEFT. It keeps them on their toes, and their foes in an even worse position.

> Talented. Being the odd actual-monster that they are, ontop of their long life, the shapeshifter has taken it upon themself to learn /quite/ a bit. From a seamlessly unending list of music they can bard... to their extremely talented craft in making-and-enchanting weapons, armors, and items ......to the amazing foodstuffs they cook and bake on the almost-daily ......Valen is a wide-birth of self-learned knowledge on-offer. Though, at times, not for free. Asking something of Valen requires gil, or more likely, a favor.> Time Magic. Valen, always looking for a way to improve themself, has found a way to use 'Time Magic'. Granted, they are FAR from being any Time Mage... but every day is a learning experience. VERY VERY FEW PEOPLE knows they have this ability. However, it is not as if Valen is hiding this truth. Those who witness them using the magic, or has the Aether-Viewing-Abilities to sense the magic.... easily can, and should. Though, it's not like Valen's showing it off publicly of course. Any attempt in addressing this about them should be met with a degree of... privacy.

VALEN'S /HIDDEN/ LORE :

The following is information that, at minimal, only a handful of people know... and at worst, NO ONE knows, for one reason or another. If you're wanting to use this information to interact with Valen, be /EXTREMELY/ careful with how you approach them with it ...or suffer the equally extreme consequences that /will/ occur.....To be fair, that doesn't imply that said-consequences will be bad per-say.
Rather, this /is/ information that Valen DOES NOT share.
So unlike everything else, where Valen openly admits to in some degree or another, THIS stuff Valen goes out of their way to /hide/ or /not show publicly/ ...and will react in the most realistic manner possible.

.> An Open Book. Valen's history is /rich/ with detail... both of who and what they are, as much as the things they've seen and done. But only to those whom ask the /right/ questions. And if you don't ask, they'll most likely never tell. Not that they don't know how, or wish to hide anything... they're too shy to worry about things like that. Rather, they don't see much reason to. Two terms Valen openly uses as a small joke to define two aspects of the same issue into two different shapes... funny and chaotic. The issue then? How Valen, almost seemingly at random, gets into... and out of ...situations they've /NO RIGHT/ being involved with. Often times, simply by /existing/ in a location, does these effects kick in. It's at the point now that not even Valen knows of the cause. One can only hope that those around Valen will be... entertained, however Valen feels.> " The Fog Thief ". Shapeshifters comes in all sorts of types... but most are in-existence for more personal gains. Valen is no different, as over the years they've made for themself an extremely well-versed /thief/. ...Mostly because almost none knows that they where one to begin with... which makes them all the better at the task. Regardless of what the motives are, much less the treasure they aim to /take/, Valen usually only steals in 'FOGGY' Weather .....an added layer of visible protection, to hide them, and their shapeshifting.> Valen's Type. Valen is a desperate person who, though they have a softer side for lalafells, overall wishes to be one thing... that 'someone' that would do 'anything' for the person they loved. Sadly, the world is filled with assholes... and combined with their lack of experience in love, it's hard for them /TO/ fall in love ...much less find someone they could serve-to. And as if that wasn't bad enough, Valen's clearly only wanting /one/ person in their life, if even at all. It's a true cocktail of not-knowing-what-you-want-in-life-till-it-decides-to-find-you-first type bullshit, and everyone hates it. Valen included.
